My PC People is committed to protecting your privacy. This means that we will not distribute, trade, sell or rent your name, e-mail address or other personal information provided on this site to any third party. Additionally, we recommend the following browsers for use with this site: Internet Explorer version 6 and higher, Firefox version 2 or higher, Netscape Navigator/Communicator version 6 or higher, or Safari Version 3 or higher, with the latest patches and JavaScript. For overall security, we do not recommend older browsers. Your browser must allow limited use of popup to facilitate customer support software to run effectively.

Additionally, users should be aware that if they voluntarily disclose personally identifiable information (such as the user's name or e-mail address) on a discussion forum or chat areas of MyPCPeople.com, others using the forums see this information.  Our policy for discussion boards is that all members use the information within them in a manner that never infringes on the rights or privacy of other members.  Should a member use discussion board information in this manner and it comes to the attention of  MyPCPeople.com, we reserve the right to cancel any memberships to MyPCPeople.com services in order to protect our other members.

2. What information of yours does MyPCPeople.com collect?

  • Subscription Customers: Your credit card information is not given to third parties, with the exception of the credit card processor in order to charge your card.

6. What is the newsletter opt-out policy for MyPCPeople.com?
  • Newsletter are sent to individuals who have signed up as interested in MyPCPeople.com.  At the bottom of each newsletter, there is a link that can be "clicked" to opt-out of receiving further messages

  • Additionally, individuals can send email to MyPCPeople.com at support@mypcpeople.com, requesting to be taken out of newsletter membership.

7. What types of security procedures are in place to protect against the loss, misuse or alteration of your information?

MyPCPeople.com.com has recently adopted the policy of "No Data Present." What this means is that the best way to protect any of your sensitive data, such as credit card information, is to not have it on our website at all. Thus, we keep no credit card data on our website permanently. This is the only way to ensure that private information never falls into the wrong hands.

My PC People uses the SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) for all secure transactions. We use this encryption for confidential data entry and collection. Additionally, any data collected for credit card transactions is processed through http://www.authorize.net

8. How do I go about closing my MyPCPeople account?

To cancel your MyPCPeople.com account, simply log into your account at MyPCPeople.com with your login and password you have when you set up your service with MyPCPeople.com. Cancellation of accounts can occur anytime BEFORE the billing of the next month's service, otherwise we run any charges in good faith. If you have lost or misplaced your login information, we can provide it within 24 hours by contacting us at support@mypcpeople.com.


9. What is your policy about using popup ads and malicious scripts?

Popup ads and malicious scripts are scripts in the coding of a web page designed to call popup ads, and methods to redirect a user to another website. Specifically in this case to redirect a visitor without their permission to another website. Our policy on this practice is strictly to not allow it. Scripts of this type take a visitor to an ad or page without their choosing to go there. Our site uses no deceptive links and we do not allow any on the pages of any providers. If a member chooses to put a link or ad in any communication, such as on a discussion forum or other location they have access to at MyPCPeople.com that advertizes services to our members and we become aware of it, it will be removed immediately and that members membership will be re-evaluated Any scripts designed to take a visitor to another page without their express permission will be deleted by our staff immediately.


10. What is your policy for refunds?

MyPCPeople.com refunds must be requested within 5 days of the next cycle of billing if the customer has a monthly or yearly membership. Upon approval, a full refund will be issued.
